FAQ

What is restaurant food photography?

Restaurant food photography focuses on capturing images of menu items and the dining experience, aimed at showcasing your restaurant's offerings and ambiance to attract customers.

How do you capture the essence of a restaurant?

I combine my skills in food styling and photography to highlight your dishes and the overall atmosphere of your restaurant, ensuring potential customers feel the ambience before they even step inside.

Do you offer social media content creation?

Yes, of course! I create visually compelling images that are perfect for social media platforms, helping you engage with your audience and promote your latest menu items effectively.

Can you shoot both food and interior images?

Absolutely! I offer comprehensive services, capturing both your culinary creations and the inviting interiors of your restaurant for a complete marketing package. This will all be discussed on your initial enquiry.

What should I expect during the shoot?

You can expect a collaborative process where I work closely with you and your chefs to ensure the food comes in a timely manner making sure it's shot as fresh as possible and the final images align with your vision and marketing strategy.

How long is the photography session?

I offer two 3-hour sessions per day. Either 9am-12pm or 2pm-5pm to avoid the lunch and evening service. Depending on the scope of your shoot, I can also offer a full day service 9am-5pm.

How much will it cost?

Whilst commercial and product photography is quoted on a case by case basis due to the wide variety of the work, I offer a more simplified cost for restaurant photography.

Restaurant photography costs £300 per 3-hour session with additional travel expenses of 50p per mile, if outside a 20 mile radius from Lytham St Annes. If there is a cost for parking, this is also included on the final invoice.

How many shots will I receive?

Each session comes with a delivery of 20 high res images in whichever format you require (High res Jpeg as standard) included in the price.

You will be able to see all final images in an online gallery where you can select the 20 images you want to download and also an option to purchase more should you wish.

How many dishes will you capture?

I recommend focusing on around 10 key dishes in a 3-hour session, with a few other options should we make good time.

We'll confirm a shoot list ahead of time and I recommend a brief chat with the chef on the day to go through timings and any plating tips.

Do I need to have a big window or good lighting?

No, not at all. Although daylight can produce some lovely light for photography it can often be inconsistent due to clouds and the sun moving throughout the day.

I predominately work with portable studio-quality flash, giving you the most consistent and high-quality look for your restaurant photography.
